My Name Is Alex
I was born in 1985 near Los Angeles and grew up in a comfy, little suburb with lots of oak trees and no franchise businesses, except for Starbucks, which is freaking everywhere. I spent five years at Cornell University and now live in Mountain View, CA, where things are nice and liberal.
I dance, sing (in the car and obnoxiously loud), play the French horn not very well, design for the Web, and write code. I’m a classical music enthusiast and an advocate of evolutionary psychology. I’m tall, Chinese but not really, and way too picky about what I wear.
Most of the stuff that appears on this site is my own and doesn’t necessarily reflect the opinions of those people or organizations with which I may be associated.
Above is a photo of me in the middle of the ocean, scoping out the horizon as the European explorers once did centuries ago, except that I seem to be lacking a boat.
